Privacy Policy — Asha

In short: Asha has no accounts and no server holding your data. What you do in the app stays on your phone.
1. Who is responsible
Asha is published by OMNYSCOPE SASU, 14 rue de rouen 75019 Paris, France, registered under 991948266, for your use of the Asha mobile application.

2. What we collect
2.1 No account system
The app generates a random installation identifier the first time it runs. It is not derived from anything personal. We never ask you for an email address or a password.
2.2 Where your usage data lives
Your practice history, your progress, your preferences and your subscription status stay on your device only. We hold no copy, and there is nothing to synchronise.
Separately, we collect anonymous usage statistics: how many sessions were played, for how long, which meditations are popular. These are never linked to your identity.
2.3 Approximate location
Only the country is kept — never a city, never coordinates, and never the network address itself. The country is determined from your device settings and from server connection logs.
Asha never requests location permission.
2.4 Technical data
App version, platform and operating system version, for diagnostics and statistics.
2.5 Installation source
Campaign measurement data from advertisers or app stores, using privacy-preserving aggregate methods where available. See Advertising measurement below.
2.6 Purchases
Subscription providers tell us whether your subscription is active. We never receive and never store your card details.
3. What we do not do
- We do not require an account, and we never ask for your name or email.
- We do not sell your data. Ever, to anyone.
- We do not show advertisements inside the app.
- We do not collect your precise location.
- We do not access your microphone, camera, contacts, photos, calendar or health data.
- We do not build an advertising profile about you, and we do not track what you listen to for advertising purposes.
- We do not share your practice history, your progress or your preferences with anyone.
We use one third-party measurement SDK, from Meta, and only to know whether our advertising works. What it can and cannot see is described in Advertising measurement below. It stays inactive unless you agree to tracking when your device asks.
4. Why we may process your data
To provide the app, to improve it, to communicate with you and to comply with the law.
Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are performance of the contract, legitimate interest, and your consent. In India, processing is based on your consent under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
5. Who else handles data
Service providers for hosting, subscription management, app stores and advertising measurement. They act only on our instructions and only for the purposes described here.
6. How long we keep it
Uninstalling Asha removes it — your progress and your preferences — because there is no copy anywhere else.
Aggregated statistics, which identify no one, and records we are legally required to keep may be retained.
7. Your rights
You can exercise most rights yourself by uninstalling the app. For access, correction, deletion, objection or portability requests, write to the address in section 1. We answer within one month.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may complain to your national supervisory authority — the CNIL in France, or the Data Protection Board in India.
8. Children
Asha is not directed at people under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
9. Security
Data in transit is encrypted, and content cached on your device is encrypted at rest.

Changes appear on this page. Material changes are announced in the app.

Advertising measurement
When you install Asha after seeing one of our advertisements, we use Meta's SDK to measure whether that advertisement worked.
If you agree to tracking when your device asks, we share with Meta a device advertising identifier and the fact that you completed a purchase, including its amount and currency.
We never share your name, your email, your location, or which meditations you listen to.
If you decline, none of this is shared. Apple's SKAdNetwork still tells us, in aggregate and without identifying anyone, how many installs an advertisement produced.
You can change your mind at any time: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
This measurement is separate from the anonymous usage statistics described in section 2.2, which stay on our own servers and are never shared with advertisers.
