EMA Meditation, version 2.0.0
Last updated: 23 September 2026
In short: EMA no longer has accounts, and no server holds your practice. What you do in the app stays on your phone. We measure how the app is used anonymously, and we use advertising measurement tools that, on iOS, only switch on after you agree to them.
This policy explains what the EMA Meditation mobile application ("EMA", "the app", "we") processes, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to EMA only, and not to any other application we publish.
EMA Meditation is published by OMNYSCOPE SASU, a French single-shareholder simplified joint-stock company (SASU) with a share capital of €10,000, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 991 948 266, whose registered office is at 14 rue de Rouen, 75019 Paris, France.
For any question about this policy or your data, or to exercise any right described in section 7, contact us at contact@omnyscope.com.
EMA no longer offers accounts. You cannot sign up, and you are never asked for an email address, a name or a password. We hold no profile about you.
On first launch, the app generates a random installation identifier. It is not derived from your device, your phone number or anything personal; it is not shared with other apps; and it identifies an installation rather than a person. It exists so that anonymous statistics hang together and so your subscription can be recognised.
If you are updating from an earlier version of EMA that had accounts, the app reads the technical identifier of that old session once, so your subscription keeps working, and never looks at it again. Data that existed only on our former servers is not carried over.
Your practice (which sessions, for how long, when), what follows from it (totals, streaks, badges), your preferences (favourites, language, reminder settings, sounds) and any guided meditations you have downloaded are stored on your device only.
We hold no copy, and there is nothing to synchronise. The practical consequence is that your progress does not follow you to another phone unless your operating system's own backup restores it. Your subscription does follow you, because it belongs to your App Store or Google Play account.
The app sends usage statistics to a server we run on Cloudflare: which screens are opened, which features are used, how long sessions last, and the steps of the subscription funnel (the offer screen being opened, which offer was shown, what was chosen, what the outcome was). Each send carries the installation identifier described in 2.1, the platform and the app version.
These statistics contain no name, no address, nothing you have typed and no advertising identifier. We use them to know what is used, what is not, and where the app misbehaves.
We work out an approximate country in two ways, and neither is location. Your device's own region setting determines which prices and which language you are shown. Separately, when the app sends the statistics above, the server that receives them derives from the connection the country it came from, and records only that country.
Never a city, never coordinates, and the network address itself is not kept: request logging is switched off on that server for exactly this reason. EMA never requests location permission.
Basic technical information: app version, platform, operating system version. It is used for diagnostics and for statistics.
Payment is processed by the App Store or by Google Play. We never receive or store your card details. Our subscription provider, RevenueCat, tells us the state of your subscription (active, in trial, expired), the product, the store, the currency, the amount and the billing country, so we can unlock what you paid for and measure our sales. This information is attached to the installation identifier, not to your identity.
We advertise EMA. To know which campaigns work, the app includes measurement kits from Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and TikTok.
What each one receives, and why:
On iOS, none of this uses an advertising identifier unless you agree to it. At the end of onboarding, the system asks whether you allow tracking. If you decline, or do not answer, no advertising identifier is read or transmitted. You can change your mind at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, you can delete or reset your advertising identifier in your device's Google settings.
We also receive aggregate attribution measurements from the stores and the advertising platforms, telling us which campaign led to an install. Wherever the platform allows it, we use the privacy-preserving mechanism it provides, which reports results in aggregate and does not identify you individually.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on:
We use a small number of providers, who process this data on our instructions and only for the purposes above:
For advertising measurement, Meta and TikTok act partly on their own account under their own terms; that is precisely why this measurement is subject to your consent on iOS.
Some of these providers operate outside the European Union, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally we rely on the safeguards permitted by applicable law, in particular standard contractual clauses and, where relevant, the EU - US Data Privacy Framework.
We may change providers. You may ask us at any time for the current list, at the address in section 1. We may also disclose data where we are legally required to, or to protect our rights.
On your device: for as long as you keep the app. Uninstalling EMA removes everything, because there is no copy anywhere else. Your subscription is unaffected: it lives with your store account.
Usage statistics: per-device detail is kept for 40 days. After that, a daily job compacts it into totals by day, country, platform and app version, then deletes the detailed rows. Only those aggregates, which no longer contain any installation identifier, are kept long term, for statistical purposes.
Subscription notifications: the technical identifiers we use to avoid counting the same RevenueCat notification twice are deleted after 90 days.
Legal obligations: proof of sale is kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires. It comes from the stores, not from the app.
Subject to the conditions set by the GDPR, you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to receive it in a portable format, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to leave instructions about your data after your death.
In practice, you exercise most of these rights yourself. The "Erase my data" button, in the app's Settings screen, immediately and permanently erases, on that device, your progress, favourites, badges, streak, any events still queued for sending, and the installation identifier itself, which is replaced at once by a new random one. Statistics already sent can no longer be tied to the device. Uninstalling the app has the same local effect.
What we cannot do, and we would rather say so plainly: since there is no account, no email address and nothing linking a device to a person, we have no way of finding a given device's data remotely. A request to access, correct or erase the anonymous statistics therefore cannot be met other than through the button above, because we cannot identify you (Article 11 GDPR). We will never ask you for extra data for the sole purpose of identifying you.
For anything else, write to us at the address in section 1: we answer within the one-month period set by the GDPR. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), or to the authority of your country of residence.
EMA is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures: traffic is encrypted in transit, downloaded meditations are stored encrypted on your device, and request logging on the statistics server is switched off so that no network addresses are kept there. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We will update this page whenever what we do with your data changes, and the date at the top will change with it. Where a change is material we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.

EMA Meditation, version 2.0.0
Last updated: 23 September 2026
These terms govern your use of the EMA Meditation mobile application ("EMA", "the app"). By using EMA you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.

EMA offers relaxation and wellbeing content: guided meditations, sound sessions, breathing exercises, a free-session timer and calming mini-games. The features and content available may change over time.
EMA is a wellbeing app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any illness, and it is not a substitute for professional medical or psychological advice. If you are unwell, consult a qualified professional. If you are in distress or in crisis, contact your local emergency services. OMNYSCOPE SASU makes no claim of therapeutic benefit.
Breathing exercises must be used sensibly. They involve deliberately altering your breathing and can cause light-headedness. Practise seated or lying down, and never while driving, operating machinery, or in or near water. Stop if you feel unwell. Consult a doctor before using them if you are pregnant, or have a respiratory, cardiac or blood-pressure condition, or a history of seizures or fainting. You use these exercises at your own discretion and responsibility.
EMA has no accounts. You do not sign up, and there is nothing to log in to. Your progress and preferences are stored on your device only.
Two consequences are worth stating plainly:
You can erase everything at any time, from the app's Settings screen or by uninstalling the app.
Part of the content and features is free. Access to the full library requires an EMA Premium subscription.
Most of the content ships inside the app and works offline. Guided meditations are downloaded from our servers on demand: playing one for the first time needs an internet connection, after which it stays available offline on your device.
We aim to keep EMA available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may add, change or remove features and content, including content covered by the subscription, and we may discontinue the app; where it is reasonable to do so, we will give notice.
EMA includes calming mini-games, one of which draws tarot cards. These games are offered as entertainment. The tarot draw is random and the readings shown are atmospheric text: they have no predictive, divinatory or decision-making value, and are in no way medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. No decision should be taken on the basis of them.
You agree not to:
EMA, its name, its interface, its artwork, its texts, its music and its recordings remain the property of OMNYSCOPE SASU or of its licensors. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the content inside the app for your own private, non-commercial use. It transfers no ownership.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EMA is provided "as is" and we exclude implied warranties. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app, nor for the loss of local data described in section 3. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and where a change is material we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use EMA after that means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by French law. This does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you habitually reside, and it does not prevent you from bringing proceedings in the courts of that country where the law gives you that right.
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at the address in section 1: most matters are resolved that way. Consumers in the European Union may also use a consumer mediation service free of charge; its contact details are available on request at the address in section 1.
How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
